The performance on this CD took place before a live audience, not in a sound studio, and was originally recorded for archival purposes rather than for commercial release. Every effort was made to maximize sound quality given the limitations of the original recording, and the CD was made available Amazon.com to benefit the Mills College Music Department, which received 100% of proceeds. This was a limited-release CD which is now out-of-print.
